Sumatra
Mentawai Islands
The Mentawais are an island group to the west of Sumatra. Due to their extraordinary location, the Mentawais are blessed with literally thousands of waves at every swell altitude and wind direction. Countless islands offer an abundance of spots to a breath-taking, tropical backdrop, which you have probably already admired in various surf magazines or movies. Macaronis, Telescopes, Thunders, Lances are only a few of the many famous spots we will hit up together on our SAMA-SAMA Mentawai surf trip.
Telo’s / Nias Islands
On this route, north of the Mentawais, we will cross the equator and cruise along some incredibly wave rich islands. Discover amazing lefts and rights for all kinds of abilities, which need certain tides and winds to work their magic! This area is visited less by other charter boats meaning mostly fun solo sessions with only you and your boat mates out!
Banyak Islands
The Banyak Archipelago is a group of mostly uninhabited isles. It is home to some amazing waves with long deep barrels and nice walls. Like the Telos, this area is more uncrowded than the Mentawais. Less charter boats and land camps means more waves for you!
